humanest Participation Guidelines

For the purpose of these guidelines, any user of the platform will be termed ‘member/ user/ participant’. All services on the humanest platform are subject to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, as well as the following terms of participation.

  • All users must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Our services are not appropriate for those in crisis or high acuity mental health support needs.

  • In group settings, all participants must respect one another’s privacy, keeping all information shared as well as names and other identifiers confidential.

  • Participants must not use any information gathered during the group session about other participants or the facilitator for any unfair practices.

  • In all sessions that will be conducted via videoconferencing, every participant has the responsibility to ensure the level of privacy they are most comfortable with, which means using aliases for names and/or making themselves available or unavailable as they wish via audio, video, and/or text chat.

  • Our services are all inclusive and everyone is welcome to participate regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, ability, age, or ethnicity. All participants must behave respectfully towards one another and not engage in any abusive, harassing, threatening, discriminatory, or inappropriate behavior.

  • Sharing any kind of spam, irrelevant information, or attempting to market other services to members will lead to removal from the platform.

  • Discussion or recommendation of any medications or treatments to other users is not allowed.

  • Our group sessions are meant to provide education and facilitate mutual support. These should not be considered services in lieu of or the same as individual therapy sessions. The presenter is a facilitator rather than a therapist for the participants.

  • Some skills and process based groups require ongoing attendance and participation for the benefit of all attendees. An absence of more than two sessions may lead to participant’s removal from the group.

  • Users that do not abide by these guidelines will be removed from the group by the facilitators/moderators. Depending on the gravity of the situation the user might be denied all services from humanest.

  • These guidelines also apply to all humanest social media accounts and a violation may lead to blocking the person from these accounts.
