Andrew is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who received his Master of Social Work degree from the University of Southern California. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Loyola Marymount University. 

Andrew believes that therapy should be accessible to all. He aims to provide a safe, empathic, and comfortable environment that allows an individual to address their mental health needs at their own pace. He has worked in acute medical settings, homeless services, community mental health, higher education, and HIV+ case management. He is a firm advocate for expanding access and enhancing therapeutic experiences for queer, Latinx, and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) individuals. As an LGBTQIA+ affirmative therapist, and a gay man himself, Andrew supports clients of any gender identity or expression.

Andrew utilizes a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach to Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to construct, motivate, achieve, and maintain desired behavioral improvement. In conjunction with SFBT, Andrew utilizes the following therapeutic interventions: Motivational Interviewing, Problem Solving Therapy, Columbia-Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Medical Family Therapy, and aspects of Emotion Focused Therapy. With over half a decade of experience in the field, Andrew understands that therapy goals often change, and he encourages open discussion about what is beneficial and what can be improved.

Andrew enjoys attending live music events, watching horror movies, listening to podcasts, playing video games, traveling domestically and abroad, and spending quality time with his friends, family, partner, and two dogs. 

Andrew is bilingual and fluent in Spanish and English.
